Its money movement functionality can be used as a convenient way to send money to friends and family as well as foster the creation of capital economies and provide people with safe avenues to securely purchase any product, anywhere, and anytime.

mFunds LLC, based in Bellevue, Washington, was established to leverage technology borne out of deep insight of wireless and prepaid debit card executives that understand the consumer experience. The combination of our forward thinking development team combined with our seasoned experience in payment processing space, positions us to bring truly novel solutions to the mobile payment world.

We have strategically aligned ourselves with a set of companies to control the entire value chain (processor, bank, card program manager, loyalty points management system) creating a disruptive technology in the area of international remittance.

The mFunds Executive Team

CODY HERSHEY – Chief Financial Officer
Cody has over 6 years in the mobile commerce and prepaid wireless space. Cody started his career in the accounting firm, Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he worked in the high technology and telecom practice supporting several Initial Public Offerings, Public Debt Offerings, due diligence and equity transactions for his clients. Mr. Hershey went on to work for AT&T Wireless in their Finance Department where he was the liaison between the Finance Department and the Treasury Department, Tax Department, and the National Real Estate Operations Department. Mr. Hershey is a graduate of the University of Washington with a B.A. in Accounting and a minor in Finance.

SURENDER MOHAN – Chief Technology Officer
Before joining mFunds, Surender Mohan was the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder at Shree Eduserve Private Limited in India from 2008. Before that he was the Chief Technology Officer at Winshuttle, USA. Prior to joining Winshuttle, Surender worked as a Director of Development at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond for 13 years designing and delivering numerous software applications and highly transactional online systems. Surender is well educated with a B.E. (with Distinction) in Electrical Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi, India, an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA. He graduated at the top of his MBA class with Honors from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. Surender is also an alumnus of IIM, Bangalore.  

GEORGE CHUNG – Chief Software Architect
George started his career in 1988 at Oracle Corporation. George has a history of successful technology startups. He was part of the founding management teams of both Patrol Software and Open Horizon, which were acquired by BMC and IBM, respectively. George worked at Microsoft for 6 years where he held positions as a Lead Program Manager, Lead Software Design Engineer, and Development Manager working on a variety of important products including bCentral, Microsoft Office, and COM+, receiving numerous distinctions for his service there. He holds a Mathematics degree and a Computer Science Degree from Cornell University from where he graduated in 1987.
